Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about ChelHead, our EASHL statistics platform, data collection methods, and platform features.

What is ChelHead?

ChelHead is a comprehensive statistics and analytics platform for NHL 26 EASHL (EA Sports Hockey League). We provide advanced statistics, club rankings, player analytics, and a free agency system to help players and clubs track performance, make informed decisions, and connect with the EASHL community.

Our platform goes beyond basic statistics by offering advanced metrics like Deserve to Win (DTW), player scoring systems, position analysis, and detailed match breakdowns. We also provide tools for free agency matching, club comparisons, and Discord bot integration for community servers.

How is data collected?

ChelHead reads publicly available Pro Clubs statistics and presents them in searchable views for clubs and players. We do not modify, estimate, or manipulate the underlying statistics.

Our backend infrastructure, built on Cloudflare Workers, processes data requests efficiently and updates data regularly. We implement appropriate caching and rate limiting to ensure fast access. Data is typically updated within minutes of games being completed, though data response times may vary.

We can only display statistics that are available from public game statistics sources. If certain statistics are not available, we cannot display them on our platform.

How accurate is the data?

Data accuracy is a top priority for ChelHead. Since we pull data from public game statistics sources, we present the underlying values without modifying or manipulating them.

However, there may be occasional discrepancies due to:

  • Data response delays or temporary unavailability
  • Data synchronization timing between EA's servers and our platform
  • Edge cases in data formatting or interpretation

If you notice any discrepancies between ChelHead and the game, please contact support at support@chelhead.com and we'll investigate promptly. In most cases, discrepancies resolve themselves once EA's data updates.

What is Deserve to Win (DTW)?

Deserve to Win (DTW) is an advanced metric calculated by ChelHead that evaluates team performance based on shot quality, possession metrics, and scoring chances rather than just the final score. DTW helps determine whether a team "deserved" to win based on the quality of play rather than just the outcome.

A high DTW percentage indicates that a team created more high-quality scoring chances and controlled play, even if they didn't necessarily win the game. Conversely, a low DTW percentage suggests that a team may have won despite being outplayed, or lost despite playing well.

This metric is particularly useful for understanding team performance trends over time, as it can reveal whether a team is consistently playing better or worse than their win-loss record suggests.

The system includes messaging functionality, preference filtering, and search capabilities to help you find the right fit. All communication happens through the platform, maintaining privacy until you're ready to share contact information.

How do I use the Discord bot?

ChelHead offers a Discord bot that brings EASHL statistics directly into your Discord server. The bot provides instant access to club stats, player information, match results, and leaderboards via slash commands.

What features require an account?

Many ChelHead features are available without creating an account, including searching for clubs and players, viewing statistics, and browsing leaderboards. However, accounts unlock additional functionality:

  • Save favorite clubs and players for quick access
  • Participate in the free agency system as a player or club
  • Send and receive messages through the free agency platform
  • Set preferences and manage your free agency profile
  • Access account settings and preferences
  • Link Discord bot subscriptions

Creating an account is free and takes just a few minutes. You can sign up using email or various social authentication methods. Account data is protected according to our Privacy Policy.

How often is data updated?

ChelHead updates data regularly, typically within minutes of games being completed. However, update frequency depends on EA's data response times and processing delays.

Club rankings and leaderboards are updated continuously as new match data becomes available. Player statistics update as new games are played and recorded in EA's system. Match history is added as matches are completed and processed.

If you notice that statistics appear outdated, it may be due to EA's data processing delays or temporary unavailability. In most cases, data will update automatically once EA's systems process the latest match results.

What platforms are supported?

ChelHead supports all platforms where NHL 26 EASHL is available:

  • PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4
  • Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One
  • PC (via EA App or Steam)

Statistics are available for all platforms, and you can filter searches by platform. The free agency system also allows you to specify which platform you play on, ensuring you connect with players and clubs on the same platform.

Note that cross-platform play may be available in some EASHL modes, but statistics are typically tracked separately by platform. Make sure you're viewing statistics for the correct platform when searching.
